Runway is a platform for creators, advertisers and video producers that makes video from text and images and lets you edit footage you already shot with AI. In addition to its own models (Gen-4.5, Aleph 2.0 and others), you can pick outside models such as Kling, Seedance, Veo and Nano Banana on one screen, and from 2026 it has become an all-in-one production tool with Runway Agent, which carries out work for you, and a timeline editor (Studio).

Commercial use: According to Runway help, you own what you generate and may use it commercially (no restrictions by plan are stated separately). You can buy extra credits in units of 1,000, and purchased credits do not expire.
Which plan for whom
- Free: People who first want to check the Runway screen and the feel of the results. 125 credits is about 10 seconds of Gen-4.5, so it is for a taste.
- Standard: Individual creators who occasionally make short videos or images for social media. You can try all models without a watermark, but on Gen-4.5 it is under 1 minute a month, so it runs short quickly if you use it often.
- Pro: YouTubers, marketers and freelancers who make video every week. Credits are 3.6x Standard, and with unlimited 4K upscaling and voice cloning it is practical for real work.
- Max: Professional producers who generate many outputs to choose from, such as ads and music videos. HDR/ProRes export and credit rollover make it easy to connect to post-production.
- Team: Small production companies and marketing teams of 2 to 9 people who share credits and share work and feedback.
- Enterprise: Companies and broadcast or film studios that need security, SSO and heavy usage.
