Stable Diffusion is the best-known open image generation model, released by the UK's Stability AI. You can install it on your own computer (ComfyUI, Forge and others) and make unlimited images for free. Commercial use is also free if your annual revenue is under $1,000,000, and if installing is hard you can use the Stability AI API or the enterprise Brand Studio. It suits creators and developers with a graphics card, and people who want to customize models themselves (LoRA training and so on).

Which plan to choose

Community License (local install): Creators who have a graphics card with 8GB or more of VRAM and want to make lots of images without worrying about cost, or train their own art style with LoRA. If you are new, start with free programs such as ComfyUI or Forge.
API pay as you go: Developers who want to add image generation to their own app/service, and people without a graphics card who occasionally need high-quality images. It costs about 3 to 8 cents per image.
API Membership: Developers who generate thousands of images or more through the API every month (we recommend deciding after confirming the price officially).
Brand Studio Core: Small marketing/design teams that need to mass-produce marketing images while keeping the brand tone.
Enterprise: Companies with annual revenue of $1,000,000 or more that cannot use the Community License, and companies that need copyright indemnity.
