Service ended: OpenAI announced the end of Sora on March 24, 2026. The Sora app and web (sora.com) ended on April 26, 2026, and the Sora API (Videos API, sora-2, sora-2-pro) also ended on September 24, 2026. You can no longer sign up or make videos.

Sora was OpenAI's video generation AI that made short videos with sound from text or images, and it also ran a social app for sharing the videos you made. However, because of the burden of computing costs and a change in company strategy, the app, web and API all ended in 2026. If you need a video generation AI now, you have to find another service, and people who used Sora before only need to check whether they can export their remaining data.
