Products and things to know
Virtual servers (Server)
Rent servers by the hour.
- How billing works
Servers can be used monthly or hourly, and the monthly fee is prorated if you use it less than a month. Source
The price tables show an hourly rate and a 30-day rate together. All prices exclude VAT. Source
- Easy-to-miss costs
A stopped server of some types is billed only for its base OS disk. Attached resources such as a public IP, load balancer and extra disks keep billing normally. Source
A public IP bills by the hour, so return IPs you no longer use to stop the charge. Source
- Limits
A discounted stopped server can stay stopped for at most 90 days at a time and 180 days over 12 months. After that the server is returned and its data is kept for 30 days before deletion. Source
Managed databases (Cloud DB)
Managed databases.
- How billing works
Monthly pricing is based on 30 days. Source
- What is included
A 50GB OS disk is included in the server price. Data storage for your database is billed separately by usage, per hour. Source
- High availability and backups
Choosing high availability creates two servers, a Primary and a Secondary DB, so server cost doubles. Source
Backups run automatically once a day. Retention is 1 to 30 days, and backup storage is billed per hour. Source
- Easy-to-miss costs
A Read Replica DB for spreading read load adds one more server each. Source
- Limits
Data storage starts at 10GB and grows automatically in 10GB steps up to 2,000GB, with an alert each time it grows. Source
Object storage (Object Storage)
Object storage.
- How billing works
Storage is billed on average monthly stored volume (GB-month), using a 30-day month and hourly calculation. Source
- Data transfer out
Only outbound traffic over the internet is charged. Internal transfer with Naver Cloud servers, CDN+ and GCDN is free. Source
- Easy-to-miss costs
Requests are charged too, with different rates for PUT, COPY, POST and LIST versus GET and other requests. DELETE is free. Source
