At a glance
Apple Music is Apple's music streaming service, launched in Korea in August 2016. At ₩8,900 per month it has the cheapest individual price among the major services, and lossless, Hi-Res (up to 24bit/192kHz) and Dolby Atmos spatial audio are included in every plan at no extra cost. However, it has a history of missing some Korean music, so check if you mainly listen to Korean pop.

- Number of songs: more than 100 million (official)
Korean music
At the 2016 launch, some songs such as IU's were missing because no deals had been made with Loen (the operator of Melon, later Kakao M), CJ ENM and KT Music (SM, JYP and YG were available). In early 2021 there was also a report that it had no Kakao M deal and a share under 1%. We could not confirm whether all Kakao music is now included.
Who it suits
- Individual: People who use an iPhone and AirPods and care about sound quality. It is also the cheapest.
- Family: For a family of iPhone users sharing. Split among 6, it comes to ₩2,250 per person.
- Apple One: People who also use iCloud storage and Apple TV+
